This story is about a lady who was accused of killing her husband in Nigeria due to marital crisis. The court sent her to death sentencing by hanging. I made effort to trace the childhood of Maryann, especially how she had been r***d severally by different men, including her father. She became hostile after she was trafficked to Libya. The story was created to unveil the challenges of sexual violence against women and children in Africa and the attitude of the judiciary which was supposed to be the last hope of the common man. The story was told to educate the world on the various facets of sexual abuses against women and children, the manner in which our religious affiliations have indirectly promoted sexual violence against women and children in Africa. Her husband died while they were arguing but she wasn't the one that killed him. But the court convicted her of killing the man and sentenced her to death by hanging.
