Once upon a century there lived a girl. She dwelt in the night of everyone's dreams, but not in nightmares, happy dreams, or the common random dreams. Her intentions were to bring happiness to their subconscious laments for she felt how heavy sorrow weighs on the mind. Sometimes she got to see their stories flash before her eyes, for dreams say many things about oneself. Families, friends, lovers, and animals welcomed that friendly stranger without recognizing her because dreams make appearances easily changeable. It saddened her whenever the people and animals she was so fond of died before their next dream; at least when death claimed their souls in their sleep she can bid them goodbye. She was an oneiric being; a person who lived in dreams. Our story finds her paying a visit to a boy in his last dream.
