#DreameWritingMarathonII Artemis is a hybrid creature, half witch and half werewolf. At the age of 7 she becomes an orphan, her parents are killed by a plot hatched by some mysterious witches. Her father, Lance Rufus, was one of the few remaining werewolf kings, leading the wolves of Texas. He had always been loved and respected by the other werewolves until he committed two unforgivable sins: falling in love with a witch and giving birth to a hybrid. Werewolves disavowing the monarchy and recognizing only the authority of individual Alphas. The large pack of which Artemi's father was also Alpha remained leaderless, as the years passed internal divisions and discontents fragmented the pack, weakening it more and more. Uncle Pete, who had taken care of Artemis by raising her, asks the Moonrivers' pack to annex what was left of the Lance's pack to theirs. Trevor Moonriver, the old Alpha, had been friends with Artemis's father but had recently left power to his young sons Jared, Caleb and Mayson, the Alpha, Beta and Gamma of the large pack, respectively. What convinces the three Moonriver brothers to accept the annexation is the gift offered by Pete: Artemis. They saw each other only once, as children, but they never forgot the hybrid. They will discover that their fates are closely intertwined.
