War is nothing new to Alex. The sounds of missiles whistling through the air, counting the seconds before the boom, the smell of hot metal and burning flesh, the chaos and destruction. It was all too familiar. Alex is the President’s only daughter. She is set to take over the Isle during a long waged war against the King’s Army. She was just a baby when the King took over every territory in the world, except for the Isle, triggering a series of battles and attacks between the King’s Army and the People of Isle. Alex lived most of her life in secrecy in an armory. It doesn’t exactly make for the most memorable childhood, but it had kept her alive. She never questioned why the King wanted to rule over everyone, it was just how life was, and up until recently she didn’t know what had happened all those years ago. She didn’t know it was because of her. After an armistice, there is a great meeting where Alex meets Caleb, the King’s son. The two are undeniably meant for each other, but in the midst of war they are enemies.
