The crippled Draven Dexter is left speechless after an older human couple forced their frustrated daughter on him in front of the marriage bureau. Equally helpless and needing a place to stay for a while, he agrees to marry the helpless Tessa Hudson and become a live-in son-in-law. He is bullied and humiliated but he endures it all.
