The Beta's Alpha

Words like fate, destiny, we’ve all heard them, had them applied to us or been referenced at one point in regard to our lives and our futures but in my case far more than normal. My name is Rayne Brookes, I am the daughter of Robert and Melody Brookes, Alpha and Alpha mate to the Brookes Pack which as you no doubt guessed makes me the future Alpha. My best friend, Jayden Varcolac is the second son of Samuel and Joanne Varcolac, Beta’s to my parents, his older brother Stone is next in line to replace his parents when they step down which if tradition holds will be when my parents step down and pass the pack onto Jayden and I, which brings me back to destiny and fate; Jayden and I are both 16, born one week apart and have spent most of our lives together, my parents and his always talk about our destiny together, how we are fated to be mates and as we grew up the more we heard the more we believed, as did everyone, that we were meant to be together Funny how as you get older and gain wisdom you come to understand that words are only words and life doesn’t follow a set plan.
