The tale of many heroes begin with tragedy. It's no different for Rayne. Once a promising student in the College of Mages, she enlists with the Sellsword Corporation after a terrible attack destroys her village and her ability to continue attending the College. Employment isn't guaranteed in the corporation and Rayne must prove she has what it takes while earning the respect of comrades eager to see her fail.
