Burned By The Alpha I Married

Chapter 1 Nelly POV I was in the kitchen washing plates so I could go for my clothes making classes when my mom stepped in. "Nelly!" She called from the sitting room, but she didn't wait for me to come. Her voice came out loud, like thunder. The way it does whenever there is trouble coming. "Mom." I answered, turning to meet her. But she was already standing before me. "Get ready. Tomorrow morning we are going to meet the men of the council. You will be getting married to Alpha J.J of Lion Heart Pack tomorrow morning." The words landed on my head like a hammer. The plate in my hand almost fell. "No. Maybe I didn't hear you well." I muttered. "Mom! What did you just say?" "Are your ears blocked? I said you will marry Alpha J.J tomorrow morning." "Mom, that is not going to happen. I can't do that." "I am not here to argue. I told you how it is going to be. Tomorrow morning the council warriors will come and take us to the council hall, where the wedding will happen. It has been decided already. There is nothing you can do about it." "And let me warn you," she said, leaning close, "I will not take any drama from you, or else..." She stopped there. "Mom!" "Shh. I wouldn't want to hear a single word from you again." She warned me, and then walked away. For a few seconds it like was happening my dreams, but it was actually happening for real. And I knew my mom. She never went back on anything she decided. The kitchen turned upside down in my eyes. My legs became so weak that I dropped on the floor, in the same breath. My heart was boiling, and my eye was filled with rage, that I clenched my fist, as kicked a cupboard seated there in the kitchen and everything that was kept on top of it fell of and got scattered on the floor. Lion Heart. Just the name alone filled me with fear. That was the pack everyone in Braze Rock warned us about. No one trusted them. No one spoke well of their Alpha line. And now that was the pack my mother wanted to hand me over to. Of all the girls in Braze Rock, why me? A wolfless girl, with no name that mattered. "No. I am not going to do this." I said to myself. Living with my mom all these years has been more like hell. I had never for once enjoyed that sense of belonging as her daughter. My opinion never counted in anything. All she cared about was having me working all day, from one task to another. My room was small and almost empty. A thin foam to sleep on. A few clothes in the corner. A small wooden box that held the little that belonged to me. That was all I had. And she knew it. "There is only one option, and that is for me to run." But where will I run to? Where will I hide that the council warriors won't find me? The council's eyes are everywhere. And once they decide on something, that's final, and everyone knew that. And even if I escaped them, where would I hide? I had no money. No other family. Not even a friend. I looked at the door Rose had walked through. For a moment I felt like to run after her and, beg her. If she could change her mind, but then I realized that no amount of begging could make her change her mind on whatever she has already decided on. No amount of cry was going to change my fate, so I braced my hand agaist tha wall and rose to my feel, with my knees that were still shaking. I tried and steadied myseld on the ground. I picked up all the things that were already scattered all over the floor, my hand were still shaking. "There is no way I am marrying a stranger. Never." I went back to the sink and finished up washing those plate before I scrub the kitchen floor, the sitting room and my own room. Then entered the bath room and took a quick shower. Just the moment I was done dressing up I heard someone knocked on the door. I moved to answer it, my body still weak. A woman I didn't know stood outside. "Good morning ma." I greeted. "How are you doing?" "I'm fine ma." "Is this number 10 Douglas Street? Mrs Rose's house?" "Yes." "I spoke to your mother on the phone. She said I should wait for her here." "Okay ma. Please come in and sit." "Thank you." She said, then stepped in and sat on the couch. "What can I get you ma?" "A glass of chilled water will do. I've had a long journey." I brought her the water. She drank it once like she needed more. "You said you had a long journey ma? Does that mean you came from a different pack?" "Yes. Far from here. The same place your mother is from." "So my mom isn't from this pack?" "She only became an indigene of the pack through marriage." "Really?" "Yes." She responded. She finished the water. "You can take the cup back now." "Okay ma." I stretch forth my hand to pick the cup on the table, when her eyes caught the mark on my arm. She grabbed my hand. "What is this mark?" she asked, staring at it. "I don't know ma," It has been there since I was a child." I said. She looked at the mark again much longer now. Her face looked like someone who was lost

They chained me in a marriage and called it fate, and he abandoned me in it and called it justice. For four years, I was Alpha J.J. Stone's wife in name only, I was unloved, unwanted, blamed for a fire that burned his family to ash while I was still shackled to him by force. I begged him to see the truth in my eyes and to feel it in my heart, but he never did. Then one night he finally asked for my body which I thought meant forgiveness, but it was revenge. He handed me a blood cleanser, told me my blood would never carry his heirs, and looked me dead in the eye, and declared he could never have loved me. So, I tore the bond and walked away with nothing but his rejection and a secret even I didn't know yet. Because I was never the nobody he threw away. I am Ada Peters, daughter of a murdered Luna. Stolen heir to a throne soaked in my parents' blood. And when fate drags Alpha J.J. Stone back into my path, needing my aid and my alliance, he's going to learn exactly what he threw away. But some bonds don't die just because you cut the ribbon. Some hatred was always love wearing another wolf's skin. And when a relic tied to my mother's blood resurfaces, the woman who sold me comes back for what she believes she's owed, and a rival with murder in her heart sets her sights on my crown. J.J. Stone will have to choose, to bow to the queen he rejected, or lose her to the fire second time. He broke me once and called it justice. This time, my wolf decides what he's allowed to keep.
