Schools of magic - ... The Schools of Magic are the older Schools established by the state to train "Wizards" who practice modern magic. Nine of these schools were founded throughout the country. Their location: First High School: Hachioji (Kanto, Tokyo) Second High School: Nishinomiya (Kinki, Hyogo) Third High School: Kanazawa (Hokuriku, Ishikawa) Fourth High School: Hamamatsu (Tokai, Shizuoka) Fifth High School: Sendai (Tohoku, Miyagi) Sixth High School: Izumo (Sanin, Shimane) Seventh High School: Kochi (Shikoku, Kochi) Eighth High School: Otaru (Hokkaido) Ninth High School: Kumamoto (Kyushu, Kumamoto) Among them, from the first to the third, there is a fixed quota of two hundred students, which are divided into two streams: the first and the second (schools call them "specialized stream" and "normal stream"). They differ in the presence of personal instructors and if you do not take this into account, the curriculum of the first and second streams is the same. While in schools from the fourth to the ninth the quota is set at one hundred students fully provided with instructors, but when compared with the first three schools, the level of training of their instructors is much lower. Although each school follows the curriculum issued by the State Magic University, some of them offer in-depth study of selected subjects. For example, Third High School focuses on practical combat magic, while Fourth High School focuses on highly complex industrial activities that play an important role in the development of magic. Besides the emphasis on different types of magic, there are also schools that specialize in the use of magic in a specific environment. Seventh High School teaches high-level magic applied on water in addition to the standard curriculum, while Eighth High School includes practical magic lessons in areas of extreme cold or in the mountains where environmental conditions are very extreme.
