the story is about a village girl who fell in love with a prince . she was living in the village where virginity was valued , every girl had to attend meetings , and reed dances to celebrate their purity . she stood up for a girl who was almost beaten to death by the villagers because of falling pregnant at an early age . the chief instructed the prince to take this girl to the city where they'd fight for the water rights , and there she lost her pride .
