Purge of the RidersUpdated at Feb 17, 2018, 23:09
Rare individuals, known simply as Riders, have been the only being able to tame and ride the dragons, drakes, wyverns, and gryphons that litter the island of Edrana. Flooded with fame, the Riders were the subject of envy and resentment. One such resentful individual was Amadou Stoneblood, the illegitimate, half-breed son of King Médard Stoneblood VI — a human — and an elven consort. After the untimely and mysterious death of his father, and with no other heirs to the Stoneblood throne, Amadou came to power and immediately ensnared Edrana and its people in the iron fist of his rule. Fearing the Riders' power, he ordered a purge and seeks to eliminate their race for all eternity.
Acacia Vici, another half-elf and one of the surviving riders, fled into the forest with her female gryphon and one very important artifact. The egg, harder than diamond and covered in a curious pattern, could hold the key to King Amadou's downfall. Its guardian is the timid, innovative Acacia. Even she isn't sure what the egg holds and the only person who ever had, Acacias elf father, was murdered by the Nahlot Lavau.
Javiera Khatun, a first-generation Rider hailing from Titan Point, was one of the few to escape the Siege on Titan Point, during which the Riders' College was destroyed. Her wyvern, a massive rust-colored beast, was not quite so lucky and was slaughtered, the first of hundreds, in the dawn of Amadou's campaign. Not yet aware of her Mount's demise, Javiera took a young, unbroken dragon moments before fleeing into the plains just outside of Titan Point. Scornful and hard-headed, Javiera aims to eliminate the ruthless ruler or die trying.
Will the two women come together and save Edrana? Or will their kind be eliminated forever?
