Katherine has had body guards around her ever since she was young. That's the way her parents wanted to be. Afterall it's not like you can just walk the streets by yourself when your mother and father are the largest Mafia leaders on this side of the world. So when Rose is assigned to her daily protect duty it really shouldn't have surpirsed her.
