A horrific bus accident leaves Barry at the gates of an unexpected version of heaven. However, a clerical error in their computer system forces him back to earth, where he is to wait his final fate window. A "chance" encounter with a mysterious fallen angel sets Barry on a journey to thwart a huge angelic conspiracy.  Not only is his soul on the line, but the revolutionary ideals of the new kingdom of heaven rests upon his actions. Together with his new companion, Barry must game the heaven aptitude test to become exhausted. Only then can he stand a chance against the seemingly inevitable collapse of the afterlife.
