Juliana thought she was the luckiest girl in the world. Eric loved her and she hoped that he would propose any day now. She did not mind that Eric kept their relationship hidden from the public. She did not mind as long as Eric came back to her at the end of the day. She was comfortable in Eric’s love that she had allowed her plump self to get out of shape, to put on too much weight. But how mistaken was Juliana. Eric was just using her. She was a place he sought solace from, someone to warm his bed. Eric was tall, dark and handsome. Combine that with wealth, he could get any girl he wanted with just a snap of a finger. Why should Eric get married to overweight Juliana? She was a sweet girl but not beautiful and sexy enough for Eric to show to the world. When Eric dumps her after she catches him cheating on her, Juliana vows that she will no longer allow him or any man to treat her as a spare. When Juliana got over Eric’s treatment of her that night, she came to the realization that someone had been keeping watch over her for quite some time. It was only that she was too blinded with love to see. The night when Eric dumped her, Juliana had gotten so drunk that she slept on the side of the road. Someone had come to sit beside her to keep harm away. When Juliana sobered up, she found herself up close, face to face with Samuel, by the road side. From that moment on, Samuel had accompanied her to her exercise sessions, keeping her on track with her exercises. Samuel was the high school valedictorian, football captain and heartthrob. The girls went crazy whenever Samuel and the footballers walked past them. Juliana thought Samuel was a nice boy because he was the only jock that every smiled kindly at her.
