Don't Follow In My Footsteps

Background: For the majority of his life, Jaden Hendrix had been plagued by nightmares. No matter how hard he tried, nothing could soothe the ache inside of him. He was raised in South Creek, Rhode Island; Jaden has twin sisters, Logan and Zoey, and a younger brother, Avery. Their parents, also dormant werewolves, were turned when they were younger and killed by rebels when they mistakenly went a little further north than they should have. Not knowing what to really do, Jaden had this strong urge to move to Minnesota. More specifically, Birchwood Village. But since he was under the age of eighteen still, Jaden was sent off to live with a foster family with his younger brother. It wasn’t soon before Jaden and Avery got spilt up within the foster system as well. This heighten the nightmares and brought on hallucinations and sleepwalking. Soon, Jaden was passed around from foster family to foster family before being released at age eighteen. With nowhere to go and not knowing where the rest of his family was, it was time to start living life on his own. Present: Jaden had been accepted to fill the position as an assistant professor at Saint Cloud University. With this coming into play, it was only less thing that he had to worry about. It only took Jaden eight years to get out to Birchwood Village. He wasn’t sure as to why, but it just felt right, felt like home to him. His siblings tried to talk him out of moving there the week before he left. Clearly, it didn’t work. But he was still concerned about how this ordeal would affect everything. Would his life ever be normal again? He knew that it wasn’t normal to begin with, but he had hopes that maybe it would at least make some sense. Jaden was a loner for the most part; but he felt a pull towards a particular pack, he just didn’t know which one it was. He was just so confused about this. The nightmares continuously got worse and with the full moon approaching fast, Jaden didn’t know what would happen.
