I can never forget that unfortunate night... the night that changed my life forever... I was born to a wealthy family. My father,a merchant, while my mother,a professional seamstress. My father did trade with the Arab people. Selling guns and gun powder to them and in return, they gave him gold, ornaments and jewelries which he exported to England to be sold while some were gifted to the Queen. My mother knew the Arabs cannot be trusted. They were vile and ruthless, but father never saw no wrong in befriending them as that was the only way he could learn about them and their lands. Somehow, the Arabs were nice to us. They gave us a large expanse of land in which father had to build his own chateau and the women would bring baskets filled with linen and silk yards to Mum as they loved the dresses she would make from them. It is no news that the Queen intended to colonize Persia. The Persians vehemently refused and they were ready to go to war to defend their lands. Father became a spy for the British government,a devoted patriot. He visited the kingdoms, learning their defense strategy and afterwards,he would write letters to the Queen. But one night... everything changed.
