Anxious to unite the two nations, there were talks of marrying the pair when they were old enough. This discovery led the prince to say some rather unsavory things to his long cherished best friend, not knowing those words would be his last. Asmeiria was attacked shortly after and the royal family was all but eradicated. Or so everyone thought.
