Mercedes had always been different. Ever since she was turned. she was over five hundred years old, and she looked like she was turning twenty-five perks of being immortal, I guess. Unlike most vampires who never developed extra abilities except the regular speed, strength, hearing, smell, exceptional eye sight, invulnerability, the occasional thirst for blood, and an aversion to sunlight Mercedes developed the ability to read people's minds and control them. Vampires included, which made other vampires afraid of her. She could read the mind of anyone that is until the day she met him. Sebastian Andre, a graduate student at Nyu. An unsuspecting student with a dark past and an even darker family. A dangerous attraction, a dark secret, and an unforeseen meeting. What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object? I guess we are about to find out.

The Old World
Updated at Feb 5, 2025, 03:14
We grew up to stories of how our world used to be, of how it used to look like, of how the air used to be different, of how people used to gravitate to each other during celebratory moments. I don't know why he told us stories like these. Maybe he wanted us no, needed us to believe in something more than what we see every day when we opened our eyes. He probably wanted us to believe in what "humanity" as he called it was supposed to stand for. It's not that I didn't want to believe him infact I think the old man truly believes every single thing he says. I don't know much about how the world used to be, with the exception of what he told me, but I do know a lot about how the world is. The "old world" if it ever existed is gone. All that is left is a world where the air smells foul, and the people here definitely do not gravitate to each other unless it's to commit unspeakable acts of inhumane nature. I do not know exactly when it started, but the history of it all is covertly detailed, rumours here and there adding up to historical facts
