*Rani Pokhori (Queen Pond)*It's located near Community Health Centre (CHC) Derabish, Kendrapara, Odisha. In the front of the Derabish Tahasil Office. Local People called it Medical Pond, because it is adjacent to CHC. There is a gossip, this Pond was made during the making of Community Health Centre Derabish. By collecting information from Old People we found that, this Ponds real name is 'Rani Pokhori' (Queen Pond) and it was made by a King, who made it approximately 150 years ago. During that time two other Ponds were also made by the same king nearby area. At that time this area was a very dense forest. It was used for drinking by forest animals. Now it's used for various purposes and fish cultivation. In the month of Chaitra (March- April) It was used in Kalash Buda rituals of Maa Basanti Devi and continues till now.Its soil is sandee, so people also call it "Bali Pokhori"
