Adrian Vale, a 29-year-old struggling writer, dies unexpectedly after saving a woman from an accident. Instead of moving on, he wakes up in the body of a stray black-and-white cat. He soon discovers that the beautiful woman living next door, Elena Rose, is the same woman whose life he saved. She doesn't know who he really is. To her, he's simply a strange stray cat who keeps appearing at her window. But Adrian remembers everything about his previous life. And slowly, impossibly, he begins falling in love with Elena. The problem? He's a cat. He can't tell her who he is. He can't speak. He can't touch her the way a human lover could. And as Elena begins to develop feelings for the mysterious cat's owner—who she assumes is a real human somewhere in the neighborhood—Adrian must decide whether love means staying beside her... ...or finding a way to become human again.
