Eight-teen year old Anna is not the rebelliously carefree preachers daughter she likes everyone to think she is. She's actually not even sure she's human. At five years old her mother was murdered by a vampire and she herself was bitten with the promise that when she turned eight-teen that vampire would be back to collect her. But there's something inherently strange about Anna. Her senses are hyper focused, she can somehow see peoples auras and most startling she can sense and pick out a vampire even in the largest crowd. Her father, devastated by the loss of his wife, turns his daughter into a weapon to kill the very thing that destroyed his family. So for years Anna has been a Hunter and a damn good one. Now with her eight-tenth birthday arriving a mysterious stranger enters into Anna's life. Causing her to question everything and fight not just vampires but herself as new obstacles and mysteries arise and old threats pursue.
