It has been six years since the nuclear h*******t. The whole world is in ruins and quiet. Nature has turned against man, rain water is lethal for human consumption. Man has turned against man, a quarter of the remaining population is hunting each other and the rest of the population for food.
Thomas has spent the whole of the six years trying to die, but fate will not let him. He is a shadow of his former sharp, sober, collected and in control self.
Some call him a hero and others a psychopath because of his tendancy of always running headfirst into life threatening situations. He knows exactly what he is; he is a lost man who thinks doesn't deserve to live. He uses the cover of saving others while chasing his death, maybe that way he will be forgiven. The memory of his loved ones won't let him take his life by his own hands.
penance seems like a far fetched idea and he is getting tired looking for it. Until one day he wakes up to familiar voices, smells and a feeling he had lost touch with. HOPE. A chance for a do over.
