Kirsi Cohen is a reserved and inertly angry sixteen-year-old who recently lost her parents and twin brother in a car accident. Having always been an introvert, she made few friends, and lost what little she had after the crash caused her to become even more reclusive. Her uncle and estranged aunt agreed to take her in, but after a while they grew impatient with Kirsi's oddly independent and disobedient behaviour. They soon agreed to send her to a distinguished boarding school for girls several miles away. At first, all seemed well; but both Kirsi and her so-called esteemed school hold some very dark secrets.
