Everyone says I’m Vivian Ashcombe, the scandal-ridden daughter of a duke, betrothed to a crown prince with the IQ of a bread roll, and destined for public ruin.
They’re half right.
Because I’m not Vivian. Not exactly. One minute I was a modern woman with a sarcastic streak and a thing for bad novels—and the next, I woke up in her body, smack in the middle of a story I already knew would end in disaster. Hers. Mine now.
So I did what any sensible person would do: I faked a fainting spell, pretended to see divine visions, and launched a full campaign to break off my engagement to Prince Glitter-for-Brains. Easy? No. Especially when the prince turns out to be weirdly obsessed with me now that I want nothing to do with him.
And then there’s him. Lord Nathaniel Harroway—aloof, brilliant, annoyingly observant. He suspects I’m not who I say I am. Worse, I think he might be right. Because the more I rewrite Vivian’s life, the more I start to lose track of who I used to be.
But one thing’s for sure: I won’t let anyone decide my ending for me. Not a prince. Not a prophecy. Not even fate.
