In a world facing its gravest danger yet, a special operations soldier finds himself surrounded by a chaos which is ancient and world-ending in nature. Remembering his demise and of those he loved in the hands of an elite, tactical private forces leader, he begins his newly given life to exact vengeance, while solving a dangerous mystery with the aid of the knowledge he accumulated before he had first died.
