The Mariner's Codex: The Second Attempt
Updated at Oct 22, 2025, 13:01
The discovery of the Mariner’s Codex—an indestructible, 12,000-year-old crystalline manuscript found in a non-Euclidean chamber beneath the Atlantic—shatters the line between history and cosmic truth. For skeptical historian Lia Vance and brilliant physicist Marcus Chen, the ancient text is a beacon. It transmits frequencies that wake dormant evolutionary consciousness, selecting them and six other students (The Seven Frequencies) for an irreversible transformation. But studying the forbidden knowledge attracts the things that guard the boundaries of reality: the hostile Daemons (beings of smokeless fire) and the personalized, psychological torment of the Doppelgangers. When their professor vanishes, the Seven are forced into the university’s hidden catacombs, realizing the "invasion" is a devastating Exodus. 34,000 refugees from a collapsing parallel dimension are seeking asylum, fleeing a terrifying cosmic entity known as The Consumption—a conscious impulse that dissolves dimensions into formless rest. The stakes are absolute: Lia and the Seven must risk their minds and identities to merge consciousness with the refugees, pioneering the Hybrid Awareness that will create a new human species. They have eight days to make the civilization-defining choice between mercy and caution, knowing their compassion could save 34,000 souls... or doom their own world to consumption. The Second Attempt has begun. Success means irreversible evolution. Failure means universal dissolution.

The First Vampire Beast Tamer
Updated at Dec 13, 2024, 22:56
Do you ever imagine there's another world running right beside ours? . . . “Why don’t we put this in?" A woman speaks, her voice smooth, almost affectionate. “Nah, that’s too overpowered. Let’s add something different. Something… darker.” Then, a man’s voice interrupts, firm and unyielding.“Hey! Why don’t we make him a vampire?” The woman’s voice perks up, excited. A chill goes through me. Make what! vampire? Who! Me?! What—what are they talking about? The man lets out a skeptical grunt. “A vampire? Sure, that’s interesting, but it's too OP. Let's add something to balance it.”“Okay, okay,” she says, her tone still light, as though designing some casual new toy. “But let’s change the species—no blood-sucking from humans. It’s been done to death, too cliché right?”Blood-sucking? Humans? My mind spins. Are they actually talking about turning me into… some kind of creature?“Well,” the man chuckles, “there’s plenty else he could prey on in this world, isn’t there? We’ll give him something else to feed on.”The voices continue, completely oblivious to my horror. I lie helpless, only able to listen as they throw around options, shaping me, deciding my fate. My heart—if I even have one—pounds in the emptiness. I can’t see, move, or speak. But in their hands, I’m becoming something, one twisted decision at a time.
