Fatal mistakes were made by Kanzaki Kagami, though he can't remember anything about it. At the request of his "acquaintance", Kagami enrolls at an academy for the awakened- women who remember the past life they lived and train to become warriors who wield their memories against evil. Though he wasn't awakened himself, Kagami was an oddity. Even though all men who awaken will either become deathly ill or die immediately after, Kagami bears a count; the sigil in the shape of a number, which is a unique trait of the awakened women. Being the misfit in more ways than one, Kagami gets thrown into trouble as soon as he arrives at the academy.
