Humans have betrayed the mermaids, starting a war. Thousands were slaughtered in the midst of this. The Queen was forced to give birth to her only child on land, with the help of innocent humans. They took the child in as their own and raised her as a human, as requested by the queen. She'll soon grow into her true self, and must take on the task of bringing peace to both worlds.
