The Shattered One

Lea is a broken and abused human living in a supernatural community. Her father beat, abused, and force her to entertain men willing to pay enough for the night. ‘He paid for you,’ Dad sneered at me one last time before he started to walk towards the door. Sold. I was sold to some man. Not only did my father sell me off like I am nothing more than an object, but it looked like it brought him joy to see the fear in my face. ‘He can do whatever his heart desires or at least his DICK.’ I felt sick, thinking about what those words meant. My heart rate started going ninety miles a minute and I wasn’t able to get a full breath. I couldn’t breath, my lungs did not want to pull the oxygen into my body. I was so close to being in tears as I yelled out at him, “You can’t do this. How could you do something so vile to your daughter? I know you do not like me but this is so disgusting. How can you do this?” I tried my hardest to hold my tears in. He stopped right in front of the door and laughed out loud. It wasn’t a joyful laugh, no It was a laugh that could rival all evil villains. His laugh was full of evil mirth and hateful intent. “Oh, you forgot, my dear child.” He practically spat those words out at me. “I am not your father, remember. You are the bastard child of some other man. So, I have no problem at all using you to make thousands of dollars.”
