Introduction Stories often begin in the simplest ways.Sometimes from a question, sometimes from a small idea that refuses to leave the mind. For me, this story began with one thought:What if the monster everyone fears is actually someone who needs saving? The Girl Who Loved a Monster is a story about courage, curiosity, and kindness in the face of fear. The story takes place in the quiet town of Ajayi Town, where a young woman named Gloria moves to live with her Aunty Peace after losing her parents. She hopes for a peaceful new beginning, but instead she finds a town filled with strange whispers and hidden secrets.Animals begin to disappear.Strange cries echo from the forest at night. And the people of the town fear a monster that hunts in the darkness.Everything begins to change when Gloria meets a mysterious boy named Tunde Adeyemi, a boy who only appears at night. As Gloria searches for the truth, she begins to realize that not everything is what it seems.Sometimes fear hides the truth. And sometimes the one everyone calls a monster is the one who needs love the most. Guilty Or Not Guilty.

Introduction Life sometimes changes in a single moment. One decision, one misunderstanding, or even one accident can turn a normal day into a story that lasts forever. This book tells the story of a poor young boy whose life changed in the blink of an eye. He was not a criminal. He was not looking for trouble. In fact, he was simply trying to do what many people would consider the right thing—stop a thief. But life does not always reward good intentions. One night, a young man named Akin crossed paths with a thief. What began as a simple act of courage quickly turned into a tragedy no one expected. In the middle of the struggle, something went terribly wrong. The situation spiraled out of control, and before anyone truly understood what had happened, the story had already taken a dark and painful turn. Soon, the boy who tried to stop a crime was the one standing in court. Confusion filled the courtroom. Fear clouded his thoughts. Words that were meant to explain the truth were misunderstood. A single answer—spoken under pressure—was interpreted in a way that changed everything. In that moment, fate sealed his destiny. This story is not just about guilt or innocence. It is about how quickly life can change. It is about justice, misunderstanding, human emotion, and the consequences that sometimes follow even the best intentions. It is also a story about strength. Strength to endure hardship. Strength to survive in places where hope seems impossible. Strength to grow, even behind prison walls. As you turn the pages of this book, you will follow Akin’s journey—from the streets where everything began, to the courtroom where his fate was decided, and finally to the prison where he must learn to live with the consequences of a moment that changed his life forever. But one question remains: Was he truly guilty… or simply misunderstood? Acknowledgment First and foremost, I give thanks to God for the wisdom, patience, and inspiration that made it possible to write this story. Writing a book is never an easy journey. It requires time, imagination, and determination. There were moments of doubt, moments when the words did not come easily, and moments when the story felt difficult to complete. But through persistence and faith, this book finally came to life. I would also like to appreciate everyone who supported and encouraged me throughout this process. To the friends and readers who believed in my creativity and took the time to read my work, your encouragement means more than words can express. Special thanks to every reader who picks up this book. Your time, attention, and interest give this story its true value. Stories are powerful because they allow us to see life from different perspectives. My hope is that this book will not only entertain you but also make you think about justice, choices, and the unexpected twists life can bring. Thank you for being part of this journey. — Akorede OLM
