ABOUTquote
Hi, my name is Cheyenne Meaux (pronounced as Moe, it\\\'s french) I am a 26 year young single mother of 2 goddesses. I have been an avid reader since I first learned to read. Yes, I was that young, age 6 to be exact. I have been a lover of story telling since age 14, after being diagnosed with a brain full of chemical imbalances and incorrectly wired switches. I found solace in writing, first poems then eventually moving on to short stories. Reading, writing, music, sarcasm, and jokes so terrible you can\\\'t help but laugh have been my go to coping mechanisms for this scrambled egg I call a brain for years. Hey, it\\\'s better than a bathroom medicine cabinet full of pills, am I right folks? Don\\\'t answer that. I already know I am. Hehe. I am a brand new, fresh off the press, baby author (meaning I\\\'m finally trying my hand at writing whole books, instead of the fractions of books I called short story\\\'s lol) so bare with me dearies. Each page in my books will essentially be the closest anyone will ever get to taking a leisurely stroll (if you could call it that) through a day in my brain. Beware, all those who enter here! If you don\\\'t know how to navigate in a sea (of emotions), follow the GPS down a highway (built of sarcasm) or find your way in the dark (and corny) rooms of humor, then you are definitely not tall enough to ride this ride. Better luck next year! For those of you who wish to enter my theme park, follow the yellow brick road! (Just kidding! Don\\\'t do that, Oz is boring compared to the rollercoasters we have here) Please keep your hands and feet in the vehicle at all times! Unless you just don\\\'t want that extra limb anymore. *Tie your shoes, zip up your jacks, and hold on to your hats folks! Seriously though, hold on to them because I cannot be held accountable for any lost, stolen, damaged, or misplaced personal belongings, humans, pets, emotions, wayward thoughts, or feelings. I signed a waiver* (hehehe, check out my "wa[i]ver" -> ???) Yeah.. we like to have a bit of fun here. Enjoy the ride!!

The Myth of Midnight (A Bit of Time Series: Book 1)
Updated at May 15, 2023, 22:50
Everyone in the world knows what midnight is. It's simply a time of night, the point that marks the end of another 12 hours in a day, right? Atleast, that's what the humans believe. And we don't try to change their minds. But for us in the supernatural communities, we know what, or shall I say WHO, Midnight really is. She is believed to be the most powerful enchantress who ever lived, not that anyone in our day and age has ever been known to actually meet her. She is considered a myth. A legend. What fairytales are made of. You've heard of Father Time, right? Of course you have. Everyone has. Well, Midnight is believed to be his daughter. Although nobody knows how that is possible. Or if it even is truly possible. We just know that is who she is said to be. When a threat arises against the supernatural world, one that has a face hidden in mystery and an army of creatures known only in stories of old, Its clear that Midnight may be our only hope to save the races. Only problem is, I seem to be one of the very few who has the power to find her. Come to think of it, I seen to be the only one who actually thinks she is real. No, i know she is. Im not sure how I know, but I just do. I'm a werewolf, as far as our kingdoms know. But those closest to me and my family will all soon know the truth. I've never met my father. Nobody has. And my mother is the daughter of an alpha and luna who lost their lives when their pack was wiped from existence. With her being the only surviver, she fled. Or thats everyones assumption, hers included. She has no recollection of her escape. She can barely even recall the attack and decimation of her pack and family. When the warriors of the Crystal Cove pack found her at their borders, she was dirty, weak, confused, and surprisingly enough, pregnant with me. Their Alpha and Luna offered sanctuary and protection. We've been here ever since. Our Alpha and Luna treat us like family, and I don't know what would have happened to us if they didn't. I know they aren't my blood, I found that out the morning of my 10th birthday. But I still look to them and love them as my Aunt and uncle. They have no children, which means they have no heir to take over as Alpha when they retire. I think they might hand the title down to their betas son and one of my closest friends, Jax. That's just speculation though, they have yet to confirm anything. Things are starting to get weird in our world though, so I know they won't have much longer to make their choice. But when weird things start happening with and around me the closer i get to my 18th birthday, I know time is almost up. Not that I know what that means, or what's going to happen, but I guess we'll all find that out soon. Ugh, being a teenager is hard. Being a teenage girl, even harder. But being a teenage Alpha female who's starting to hear a voice other than my wolf's, and somehow showing strange signs of magic? That's just downright scary. What's happening to me? I have no clue. I'm even more lost when a stranger named Wyatt, who has no scent, crosses our boarders, telling us that he had dreamt of a war happening on our very own pack lands. A war that, he claims, will either bring the end of all we've known for centuries or bring in a new age of peace and prosperity. I know, crazy right? But when he claims that I will be the one to end the war, I just somehow knew he wasnt lying. While everyone else in our pack is weary of his presence, distrustful of his words, and wanted to brand him a lunatic and send him to his death, i stepped in and made them rethink their choices. I dont know why i did that, but I felt a pull towards him that i couldnt explain. I jist knew he was trustworthy, and that we needed him on our side. And when the army of strange creatures that has been terrorizing our communities, growing stronger in numbers as well as power, is believed to be heading straight for us, none of our leaders know what to do anymore. So with the help of Wyatt, my friends, and a few unlikely allies, we make a plan to stop this chaos. Can I, Arabella Elan Grivets, learn to control my wolf and newfound magic? Can I really trust Wyatt, a man who I barely know but still feel an unexplainable desire and need for? Can I really be the one to lead our group and find the one person who can save us all? Can I finally prove to our people that the myth that us Midnight, really is true. And that she is a living, breathing person? If so, will she even want to help us? What happens if, along the way, I learn the truth of the terrible end to my mother's home pack and family? Will it bring me the answers I want and lead to my father, or will it send me down a rabbit whole and leave me with more questions? Will we be able to put a stop to this war on our horizon, or will this be the end of us all? So many questions with very few leads to their answers. I believe in us, I think.. But do you? Let's go find out..
