Rather than conflict, father and secret son-in-law find alliance, joining forces across international and Nigerian security operations, from a child-kidnapping crisis in Katsina to the abduction of Dominic's own mother for organ harvesting. The story's climax arrives when Valentina is kidnapped and Dominic, rushing to save her alone, is captured and brutally interrogated himself.
