Alex is a regular college student from California, staying in a dorm in Texas for his studies. Outgoing and friendly, he becomes close friends with Sam, a nice guy from Texas. They study, camp, and hang out together, and Sam often invites Alex for family dinners. That's where Alex meets Sophia, Sam's younger sister.
