THE LOST PRINCE
Updated at Oct 27, 2026, 08:57
CHAPTER ONE: THE NIGHT THE KINGDOM FELL Long ago, beyond the Mountains of Darkness and the enchanted forests of the ancient world, stood a magnificent kingdom known as Eldoria. Eldoria was a land of extraordinary beauty. Its rivers shimmered like silver beneath the sunlight, its mountains contained precious stones, and its forests were home to magical creatures that had existed since the beginning of time. Golden towers rose above the capital city, while enormous stone walls protected the royal palace. For centuries, Eldoria had been ruled by a royal family blessed with ancient magic. The kings possessed the power to command the elements, communicate with certain magical creatures, and protect the kingdom from supernatural enemies. King Alaric and Queen Seraphina were the beloved rulers of Eldoria. They governed with wisdom and compassion, ensuring that even the poorest citizens had food, shelter, and protection. Their greatest joy was their newborn son, Prince Adrian. Adrian was born beneath a rare celestial event known as the Golden Eclipse. According to an ancient prophecy, a child born during this event would possess extraordinary magical abilities. The prophecy stated that the child would either restore peace to the world or bring about its destruction. King Alaric refused to allow the prophecy to overshadow his happiness. “He is our son,” the king told his wife. “We shall raise him with love and teach him to use his gifts wisely.” Queen Seraphina smiled as she held their child. “May the gods protect him from those who fear his destiny.” Unfortunately, someone within the royal court already feared the prince. Lord Malakar, the king’s most trusted adviser, had secretly desired the throne for many years. He believed that the royal family had become too weak and that only a ruler who commanded absolute fear could control Eldoria. For years, Malakar gathered followers, recruited dark warriors, and studied forbidden magic. On a moonless night, he finally put his plan into action. An army of black-armored soldiers surrounded the palace. Dark clouds covered the sky, and enormous creatures flew above the towers. The royal guards fought bravely, but Malakar’s warriors possessed weapons enchanted with dark magic. King Alaric drew his legendary sword, Dawnbringer, and confronted the sorcerer inside the throne room. “You were my adviser,” the king said. “I trusted you with my kingdom.” Malakar smiled coldly. “And that was your greatest mistake.” The two men clashed in a battle that shook the palace. Golden flames erupted from the king’s sword, while dark lightning exploded from Malakar’s hands. Although Alaric fought with extraordinary courage, Malakar had spent years preparing for this moment. Eventually, the king fell to one knee. Before Malakar could deliver the final blow, Queen Seraphina entered the throne room carrying her infant son. She knew the kingdom was lost, but she refused to let her child suffer the same fate. She handed Adrian to Elara, an elderly servant who had served the royal family for decades. “Take him away,” the queen whispered. “Protect him, even if it costs you your life.” Elara’s eyes filled with tears. “My queen, I cannot leave you.” “You must. Our son is the kingdom’s last hope.” Elara wrapped the infant in a royal cloak and escaped through a secret passage beneath the palace. Behind her, the royal chambers filled with screams and the sound of collapsing stone. By sunrise, Malakar had seized the throne. He announced that the royal family had been destroyed and declared himself the rightful ruler of Eldoria. He ordered the destruction of royal records and punished anyone who dared speak of the former king and queen. Yet one secret remained beyond his control. The lost prince was alive. And one day, he would return.
