Tom has gotten himself in a bit of trouble by sleeping with his narcissistic boss' wife. After construction of his pool, Mr. Edwards invites his shocked workers over for a party, but decides to have Tom stay for a chess game. Does Mr. Edwards know his wife has been cheating on him or is just a typical game? Find out! This is a little 6 page writing exercise to see if I can create suspense and well written dialogue. I didn't much care for the original film (underused villain, underdeveloped characters, filler scenes, forced romance, too much set up for the future, etc.) so I decided to redo it just for fun. Plot beats are the same but hopefully more in an emotionally satisfying way. What I'm trying to go with is if you plucked out the original film with my script, it won't mess with the continuity of the rest of the MCU. Thanks for reading.
