You're Mine, Sera: Bound to the ReaperUpdated at Aug 18, 2026, 21:13
The digital vault breached with a soft, green pulse on my monitor.
5. 4. 3. 2...
"Got you, you bastard," I whispered, my fingers flying across the custom mechanical keyboard. Nine months of hunting my father’s offshore accounts, nine months of living on cold coffee and paranoia in a concrete basement. This was the master key that would burn his syndicate to ashes.
Then the monitor went black.
Not a system crash. A total lockdown.
A single line of blood-red text cut across my screen:
[ ACCESS DENIED. HELL IS WAITING, LITTLE HACKER. ]
Before I could tear the drive from the port, the heavy steel door behind me groaned. Cold air flooded the basement, carrying the heavy scent of rain, gunpowder, and expensive cedarwood.
I didn't need to look up to know who was standing in the shadows.
"You're sloppy, Seraphina," a deep, dangerously smooth voice echoed off the damp walls. Heavy tactical boots clicked against the concrete, slow and deliberate.
Killian Vane. The Reaper.
I snatched the Glock buried under my paperwork and whipped around, aiming straight for the center of his chest. "One step closer and I put a hole in you, Vane."
Killian didn't even flinch. He casually stepped into the bare light bulb's glow, his icy eyes locking onto mine with an unhinged, dark amusement.
"Put the gun down, Sera," he purred, closing the distance until the barrel pressed directly against his sternum. "You broke into my grid. You stole my files. And now?" He tilted my jaw up with one leather-gloved finger, his dark gaze devouring me. "You belong to me."
