Mikhael, an arrogant young man with a care free personality, enlists into the Bolshevik army in 1917 just as the Russian civil war is set into motion. During his training he meets an unlikely friend that will help him survive along the way. Through many close encounters Mikhael is introduced to the love of his life, a stern yet kind woman. With a new found determination to keep themselves alive will Mikhael have the opportunity to begin a life together with his love or will the burning flames of war consume them both.
