Raiheal let her dark hair fall around her shoulders. The ebony strands looked almost blue in the sunlight by the pond. Each step she took toward the water another item fell from her body. She needed this. Just to relax a little from the stresses that built up her life. The water was cold against her caramel skin as she sunk farther into the depths. She ducked under the water after taking a big breath she closed her eyes. 'Remember, child, you have a purpose. Don't let what is happening around you distract you.' The familiar deep voice rang in her thoughts. She had hoped that this would be her time alone but how could she forget the voices that haunted her. She broke the surface of the water with a gasp. Tobias had gone out of his father's lands. He was hunting a monster that had slaughtered part of a village near here. As they came to a clearing his heightened senses picked up a smell. He couldn't quite name it but it drew him in. He shushed his men and pointed the way that he needed them to go. Two men flanked to his left, the third man split to his right. He was hoping to take whatever was in the clearing by surprise, hoping it was the monster he was hunting. As he got closer a dark mass of hair sprang from the water. He looked over the creature as it flung the hair out of its face. His breath caught. It wasn't a creature. This was a woman.
