Your eyes,my eyes, your fate and mine are like the moon and the Sun that rule the night and day respectively.Nothing can ever bring them together not even the tide on the ocean can ever bring them together, like paraffin and water.This story begins with Philemon Dramani, the tragic hero who expresses himself concerning his father's death and the unbelievable evidence he finds out about his girlfriend Alleni Belinda with whom he co-habits.He states plainly how much he has come to hate her and this later leads him into commiting a sin of Passion hence his downfall. CHAPTER ONE. It starts with a brief exposition of the narrator, Philemon's background.We are able to see that Philemon's bad luck starts at a tender age of childhood when he was neglected by his parents who were always busy to attend to him hence he was a lonely person since.His Dad,Mr.Drani Benedict is a business man owning up to five companies, all dealing in cosmetics while his mom, Mrs.Linda Benedict is a professional actress, model and author who is always on the road, traveling from country to country hence neglecting the poor Philemon who is not allowed to leave the house to go out but there are house helps he can send on errands and this greatly affects his social life whereby he has no friends. We see for many years that Philemon lived in luxury in his parents' house, well tutored in the ways of the world by experience teacher through all levels of education from home, he is still unhappy and desires to see the outside world but how was the question because the security around was inescapable and so one time, Philemon at 22 ,escapes out of the house by packing himself in a box that is being put among the package boxes hence his gate way to freedom. And so, Philemon is taken to an unfriendly location which is different from what he expects. Later we see that Philemon finds himself in a messy situation whereby he is captured by rebels in central Africa in a rainforest of which he has no idea and soon begins to regret his escape and love for a cruel world which he has come to know. Three months in the rebels camp was fire on the mountain for Philemon and the rest of the children who were being abducted by the rebels. Boys are taught to kill and raid neighboring villages while girls are to cook and sexually appease the males and whenever a girl gets pregnant, she is killed on spot to sound warning to the rest and this is life at the rebels camp. But we also get to see that Philemon finds his love, his girlfriend Alleni Belinda in this camp and by then she was 20years old. She is described as a beautiful, hardworking and humble girl who caught Philemon's attention. He totally fell in love with her up to the extent that whenever it was Philemon's turn to sleep with her, which was a normal thing in that camp, Philemon would refuse to sleep with her and instead advise her produce mourning sounds to decieve the other that the are in the act.Philemon's love for Belinda over time begins too dangerous because whenever he sees her with any male, it always turn to a quarrel or fight which would always be cooled down by flogging but with time, Philemon becomes immune to flogging. One fine morning, Philemon decides to take the girls to fetch water and as always what involves Belinda delights Philemon. From a valley and up on top of a hill and down below, the lovebirds consumed by a cloud of stories, travel with getting tired.And when they come to the river, the lovebirds make a clean escape and tells the other girls to run for their lives. The lovebirds run through out the day until evening that they come about an army barracks where the are taken in and after a long time of interrogation, they are identified as the children who were being looked for from Uganda and so message is sent to Uganda and through the Ugandan embassy, they are returned home to safety and this time around, Philemon's parents welcome him in an emotional way which they had never shown before. Two years later, Philemon's Mom falls sick, suffering from breast cancer and she grows terribly ill and when time comes for her to go, she calls for Philemon to apologize for not giving him what he desires and advises him to get out and explore the world and then she dies. The family greatly mourns the fallen. CHAPTER TWO. Years later, Philemon's Dad becomes a drunkard who still mourns his fallen wife but Philemon has moved on and is now in a serious relationship with Alleni Belinda whom he meets in a coffee shop,years after their separation and soon they begin to live together but when Philemon's Dad finds out about this, he rejects her, plainly starting that she has no class and should a classless person like herself.Deaf to his words, Philemon insists on being with her but when Philemon's Dad dies mysterious in his sleep and a postmortem shows that he is being poisoned, all evidence points to Belinda..

Black and White tells the story of a young lady from Uganda called Atria who goes way back in time to stop her lost half breed vampire lover called Dark Time who becomes evil, from causing a racial extinction upon the natives of Ati island whom he believes stole his love from him.

On the other side of the river, tells the story of how a young explorer, Atria gets lost in a mysterious island on the Indian ocean in the quest for a legendary blood spear which belonged to an ancient African tribe called ATI,a tribe which had become extinct due to a flood which swallowed the island, killing every living thing on the island. Legends say that the ATI people killed a wizard and that at her death, she cursed the island, hence the flood. From a tender age, Atria's grandma always told her the legend of the blood spear which took place many years ago,when a warrior from East Africa had a dream. And in this dream, he saw himself as a King in an island surrounded by a large water body. So the following day, he embarked on a journey to his dream island. The journey was long but he never gave up, hoping to reach to his destination, untill one day, he found the large water body. He was filled with Joy that soon, his efforts will not be in vain. But one thing stopped him .He couldn't swim. Being a man of vision, he thought of an idea, an idea of making something that could float on water and carry him on the water. And so he collected some logs from a forest near by and for many days and nights without resting, he built a boat which he used to sail across the ocean. After a long time of search, his dream became true. He found the island . It was a lonely island but it had plenty to eat and survive on. So he went home and brought his family and friends and together they built a small village on the island and they named it ATI . But many years later, when the founders of the island had passed on , a harmless wizard visited the island in search for a home. But she was not welcomed, instead she was attacked and killed. For it was believed among the ATI people that magic brought bad luck. But before she died, she took out her spear and rubbed it with her blood and she cursed the island and she died. Immediately she died, it rained heavily on the island and the water swallowed the island, killing all life on it. But legend says that the blood spear was not Lost but was somewhere on the island. On hearing all this , Atria wanted to prove whether the legend was true or not. So she embarked on a journey to the island. she sailed across the Indian ocean until one day, she found the island she was looking for. Excited by her discovery, she went for an adventure inside the island. The island was a very beautiful place with very tall and thick vegetation and plenty of fruits to eat and not forgetting the birds that live there. All this amazed Atria and she was glad the she this quest and to show everyone at home that she made it, she captured pics of the place. with all these on her head, she forgot her way out of the island. when time came for her to head back to her boat, she got lost and was moving in circles, finding herself in the same place over and over. She tried changing paths but nothing helped. She became scared. She tried calling out for help but all she could hear back was her echo. She was now trapped or lost. Atria though terrified with the fact that she was lost in the middle of nowhere, tried to calm herself with a song of calmness. She sang it for hours until hours turned into days and days turned into months but still nothing happened. Atria who was now beginning to adopt the life on the island was found by someone, a black handsome young man who dressed in animal hides. He was friendly to Atria . He introduced himself to her. His name was zi . He was the protector of the blood spear. He took Atria to her boat but there was no boat there. The boat was lost in the ocean. And so Atria made the island her home. She lived together with Zi . Atria thought him the way of the civilized while Zi thought her the way of the uncivilized. As each day passed, these two fell in love with each other and they both feared losing their love. So one day, they make an oath to one another, promising to never replace each other till death do them apart. But one day, group of masked men attacked the island. They cut down trees and set them ablaze, killing the plenty in the island. This angered Atria and Zi and this meant war. It was twenty against two and spear against gun. The men saw this and they laid their guns down. When Atria and Zi saw this, they too laid down their spears and then the fight began. The two managed to knock down a few guys but they were out numbered. It was twenty against two and there was no way out. The men beat the two until they passed out. After along time of passing out, Atria found herself in a hospital and her mother sitting next to her hospital bed. She called out to her and she quickly rushed out to call the doctor. After a while, she came back with a doctor who examined her. She looked fine to the doctor but deep inside her heart was pain and questions as to where Zi, her lover was. It felt like a heavy burden and a river's separation, each on the other side of the river.
