THE LOST COMPASSUpdated at Apr 11, 2023, 19:17
An intended mistake bruises quite evidently but a cause that unintentionally occurs is more painful like a thorn being pulled out of your wound and while finding a cure, a not-so-extraordinary life of two persons has exchanged different perceptions in life.Life for Kane is questionable as it is. She is blessed by the ability of being able to read someone’s mind just by looking at their eyes. But all things exist as if they are a mere double-edged sword, each side has its consequence.May it be unintentional or not, she can listen to different thoughts, whether they be decent or horrible, guilty or regretful. She hears them unwillingly through their sincere gazes meeting hers. It wasn't that hard because all she does is wear her headphones and listen to harmonized music instead of that off-key life, people have. There is nothing she can do to remove such an ability. In her life, she would always question whether it was made to make her life easier or just to add another burden onto her shoulder. Two decades is already long enough for her to get used to what she is, but what would happen if those stunning stares she has will turn into black? That when she thought being sightless is somehow a dream. She wants to achieve it because of what was assumed a blessed-cursed weirdness in her eyes. At the time she already has it, it felt like she lost her compass.Like a lost kid trying to find her way home, and she’s now longing for someone’s hand to hold onto her, to become her guide in a lightless world, it feels like everything is back to zero.
