Amelie has recently turned 18, however, after a fallout with her family, she and her brother are sent together into protective custody. Amelie and her brother are given new identities to protect them from the backlash of the trial against their family and placed in a different city. Amelie is given custody of her brother since she is an adult and he is only 15. They are given the funds to move into a 3 bedroom 2 bath apartment that is located above a leaseable store that Amelie purchases with their newfound wealth. His parents started a cabin resort and passed it on to him, however, it's just a front to hide the real reason behind the need for the cabins.
