Dear Diary: I read somewhere that creating a journal helps when you feel anxious so here I go. Today is my 18th Birthday. Woo hoo! Today is the day I am suppose to find my mate. I cannot sleep and I have to be at school in 3 hours. I’m just so nervous he won’t be what I am expecting or worse...what he is expecting. Maybe he won’t think I am pretty enough or maybe he will reject me. I have waited a long time for today and now I almost feel like I do not want it to even happen. I talked to my best friend Fraya about it. She turned 18 three months ago and found her mate instantly and they are “in love”. She got the fairy tale and always knew she would. She was never nervous about this. What a jerk. I am losing my mind. But wish me luck, I have to go get ready for school and I guess, find my mate.
