Marriage to the AlphaUpdated at Oct 23, 2026, 06:06
At fifteen, Elara Vance loses everything. Her brother Torin is caught with Queen Lysandra, King Aldric's wife, and the Vances are banished. Her parents die on the road; Torin does not survive.
Elara reaches a neighboring kingdom and spends eleven years as maid to Princess Seraphina, a spoiled heir who treats people as property and hates Elara's beauty. Then Kael, Aldric's son and Alpha of the Silver Moon Pack, notices her at a festival and marries her, the match Seraphina believed was hers.
It ends when Seraphina exposes her by the Vance crest on her locket. Kael learns Torin slept with his mother, beheaded under his father's law. Love turns to hatred, and he mistreats Elara. Seraphina, afraid of losing her only claim to a crown, slips a spell into his wine and spends the night with him.
The spell takes him. Seraphina sits the throne as Luna and makes Elara her maid again. Kael cannot help her, and Seraphina has her beaten to death.
The healer Lydia gives her own wolf to hold Elara's soul between worlds, but only the Moon Goddess can return it, and she takes Elara's wolf as payment. Elara returns hooded, with every memory and no wolf. A spell sold in secret holds only in secret, so she wins Seraphina's blood-signed bargain from the witch Morwen and reads it aloud before the pack. The spell breaks; Seraphina falls and serves her. Then Elara kills Seraphina's father, King Vale, knowing he never wronged her family. She cannot call it justice.
Kael wakes to what he allowed, and Elara must face what her vengeance cost. He answers with years of choices, not words. Only then do they forgive, without pretending the harm never happened.
She was once their servant. Now they serve her.
