PLOT OUTLINEEvelyn Quansa, the Omega of the Hills Tribe Pack, is saved by Alpha Michael of Riverton in the woods after her brother Derek, the Alpha of Hills Tribe, sent his men to kill her for being a weakling older half-sister who had claims to his position as the head of their pack family. Alpha Michael and his brother, Beta Rafael manage to escape another attempt on Eve's life and take her to their home in the city where he reunites with his pack, including his sister, Gamma Jade. Eve begs Alpha Michael to help her survive her brother's hate and he initially refuses, but is convinced later because against his known nature, he actually had a soft spot for her and was completely attracted to her. However, he always remained cold and distant with her, even rejecting her advances to the point of lying about already having a Luna just so he wouldn't want her. Michael's company was also facing bankruptcy due to the shady dealings his father, the former late Alpha of Riverton was involved in before passing the mantle over to him. He had to focus on fixing it while keeping Eve safe from her murderous brother, so he tried not to listen to his wolf and accept her as his mate. He hated being the Alpha and missed when he was just a normal werewolf.Eve remains in the Riverton house while Alpha Michael heads to work every day, trying to save his company. At night, he always sees Eve but tries to avoid her, coming close to her a few times and almost succumbing to his wolf's desire to imprint and claim her as his mate. Eve is heartbroken by his cold detachment but is convinced by Gamma Jade that Michael already had feelings for her and would soon come around.After Michael gets to the root of his family's financial crisis, he learns that his father's shady dealings were in partnership with the Hills Tribe Company. It seemed after his father's death, Hills Tribe had been ripping them off, trying to run them out of business instead of having their interest at heart. He takes this very personally because coincidentally, Eve's enemy who he vowed to protect her from was also becoming his enemy as well; her brother Alpha Derek.He arranges a meeting with Alpha Derek and when they meet, it is clear that they immediately hate each other but pretend to be of mutual understanding as businessmen. Derek already knows that his half sister was being protected by Alpha Michael but does not reveal his knowledge of this to him. They talk business but can't reach a compromise to settle their companies' financial dispute. Later, Alpha Derek reaches out to Alpha Michael and offers him a deal, that in exchange for giving his company what they're owed to escape going under, he wanted his sister Evelyn. Michael has a choice to make and he contemplates giving Eve away to her brother. She was too weak for him, not ever having her first shift and he needed a strong Luna because he needed help with his position; his biggest insecurity.He decides to give her back to Derek, knowing that she would be killed by him. However, he takes his time with it and does not inform Derek immediately about his agreement of the deal. Derek becomes impatient, believing that Alpha Michael wouldn't do it, and so he sends his men to attack Riverton House and kill Eve discreetly.The mission goes horribly wrong when Gamma Jade gets involved and saves Eve's life, getting hurt in the process. Eve sees Jade about to be killed and this forces her wolf, Broja, to come out for the first time and she's able to kill the attackers. Just as the battle finished, Alpha Michael returns and sees what had happened, realising his true love for Eve and he vows to make Alpha Derek pay for his premature attack.He imprints on Eve and after they mate for the first time, he accepts her as his mate and vows to keep her safe from her misguided half brother. He takes the fight to the Hills Tribe and with the help of a few powerful lawyers, he's able to convince them to cooperate and return his stolen funds. After saving his company, he goes even further by sending proof of their shady deals to the police, incriminating Hills Tribe as sole culprits, causing their assets to be seized by the courts.This enrages Derek and he goes on a rampage at Riverton House in an attempt to kill both Michael and Eve. This time, his attack is met with equal resistance and after bullets are exchanged, the Alphas come face to face and fight as wolves...to the death! Michael, though not easy, was able to defeat Derek, forcing him to submit, but dishonourably, he tries to attack Michael from behind and to save her mate, Eve shoots her brother and kills him before he was able to kill Michael.The police arrive and after everything is cleared up, Michael and Eve are able to get married and within a year of their marriage, she gets pregnant with the next heir of Riverton, causing Alpha Michael and his pack family a great deal of joy.SETTING: Contemporary Times, 2024 (Los Angeles, New York and Dallas)
