Whispers of Fate by Velvetee is an emotional BL omegaverse romance about Noah Bennett, a gentle male Omega who dreams of becoming a singer, and Blake Kingsley, a powerful, dominant Alpha whose unresolved trauma and hatred of Omegas lead him to hurt the very person who loves him most; forced into marriage to settle a debt, Noah continues hoping for kindness from Blake, the man who once saved him, while enduring rejection, emotional abuse, and heartbreak, but as Noah pursues his musical dreams, finds comfort in his friends, and struggles to protect his health, a hidden childhood connection between the two men slowly comes into play, revealing that Noah was once the Beta Blake has been searching for, making their relationship a painful mixture of fate, misunderstanding, and lost memories, while themes of unrequited love, trauma, prejudice, consent, self-worth, music, and redemption drive the story towards a difficult journey of separation, accountability, healing, and the possibility of a love that must be earned rather than demanded; what makes Whispers of Fate unique is its contrast between Noah's beautiful heart and Blake's cruelty, its use of original songs to express emotions Noah cannot say aloud, its mysterious childhood connection, its anonymous roses and symbolic CD recording, and its exploration of how the person who once felt like a saviour can become the source of heartbreak, ultimately showing that although fate may bring two people together, only their choices can determine whether they deserve a future together.
