In the village of Asempa stayed a young man and a lady, the man was known as Anas and the lady Hilda. that have been married friends since childhood till date. Anas here is man of about 29 years whiles Hilda is a young lady of about 24 years. Even though they are from a very poor background, they still enjoy each other's company .As time went on, they took their friendship to a next level, Anas begun to have an affection towards Hilda and Hilda on the other hand also has the same feeling towards him. Anas discussed it with his father that he wish to marry his childhood friend . his father did not disagree but rather asked his son if that's what he really wants, and he replied yes . his father then became concerned and invited his family members which they held a family meeting concerning contribution towards his son's marriage because he can't do it alone since their still striving to survive and secondly, it was according to tradition. Few weeks later, the family members contributed the money and handed it over to Anas' father and congratulated Anas . Three days after , Anas along with his father and two uncles visited Hilda's family to ask for her hand in marriage. Upon arrival, they were offered seats and water to quench their thirst , after that, Hilda's father welcomed them as the head of the Ocran family
