In the shadows lies creatures of fear, created by the sins of men, released long ago from the gates of the underworld. A gate lost and long forgotten, but what happens if it is found and reopened? What if the nightmares are allowed to be released again becoming more than the few trained warriors are able to handle, more than the enclosing wall that surrounds the Shadow Country can contain? Daniel has dedicated his life to fighting the creatures that hide in the shadows. Along with his two best friends, Serena and Colin, they help maintain a semblance of order in their town that lies in the Shadow Country. Sleeping during the day and seeking at night has become predictable and mundane in Daniel’s life, till he meets a beautiful but aloof woman who seems more comfortable to hide in the shadows with her prey than to be around mankind. What is it that she is hiding? Why does Daniel feel a connection to her? And why are the shadows getting more restless? Could she have anything to do with these changes?
