The long road of Highway 101 leads Harmony Hazelton to a small coastal town called Cannon Beach, Oregon. Back home, a box of letters sits at Oakley Barklay's doorstep. The first one suggests that he either read them, save them for later, or hide them around the city- given he does not want to dispose of them. Cannon Beach is not far away enough when Oakley travels with his best friend Josh Adkins who owns a waterfront vacation home in the area.
