Deshawn Jackson's parents have gotten a divorce, uprooting the teen and having them start a new life in a different city. As Deshawn, or Shawn as he's better known, settles in to his new home, he makes the decision to live more authentically and sets aside his old identity to be reborn as Nova. Nova is a non-binary teen in their senior year of highschool with purple hair and a sassy style. Nova doesn't expect to find love until they meet the older brother of their new friend and fall for the sexy musician. Aldo is straight, or so he and everyone else has always thought. Why is he so drawn to his adoptive sister's new friend who is non-binary? He doesn't even know what parts they have. Can they make it work and if they do, what else might be in store for them?
