Ensnared by My Vampire RoommateUpdated at Sep 12, 2024, 07:32
Jiang Banxu, a hardworking medical student, is used to balancing his intense studies with a part-time tutoring job. His life is mundane but manageable, filled with textbooks, exams, and the occasional hangout with his best friend, Ding Song. However, everything begins to change when his new roommate, Ying Tiao, moves in.
From the moment Jiang first meets him, there's something undeniably strange about Ying Tiao. His pale skin, almost otherworldly in its starkness, and his cold demeanor send chills down Jiang’s spine. Ying Tiao never leaves the house during the day, only emerging at night and disappearing until the early hours of the morning. Jiang starts to piece together clues: Ying’s odd behavior, his seemingly cold, emotionless nature, and his eerie, silent presence. There's no denying that Ying Tiao is different, but how different, Jiang can't quite pinpoint.
Though the two rarely speak, the tension between them grows. Ying Tiao is unbothered by their silence, while Jiang, ever the optimist, tries to strike up conversation, only to be met with indifference. When Jiang’s friend Ding Song visits, he too senses something is off. He jokingly tells Jiang to be cautious, suspecting that Ying Tiao might be more than just a rude roommate. The unease grows as Jiang notices more peculiarities—Ying’s odd nocturnal habits, his avoidance of sunlight, and his seemingly keen awareness of Jiang's every move.
Despite his fears, Jiang’s life goes on. He continues to study, tutor, and visit his sick grandfather in the hospital, a source of immense pressure and emotional strain. But no matter how much he tries to focus on his everyday routine, his mind keeps drifting back to Ying. As the days turn into weeks, Jiang finds it harder to ignore his roommate’s strange presence. Ying's piercing gaze follows him everywhere, making Jiang feel like he’s under constant surveillance.
One night, after a particularly exhausting day, Jiang stumbles upon something that changes everything. Ying, his ever-cold roommate, unexpectedly steps in to protect Jiang from a potential mugging, revealing a side of himself Jiang never expected to see. There's something dangerously captivating about Ying's presence, as if Jiang is being drawn into a dark secret.
As their paths cross more frequently, Jiang realizes that Ying is hiding a truth far more terrifying than he could have imagined: his roommate is a vampire. The realization sends Jiang’s world spiraling. How does one live with a creature that defies human logic? And why is Ying, despite his cold exterior, starting to show signs of care towards Jiang?
Caught between fear and curiosity, Jiang must now navigate his life alongside a being he once believed only existed in folklore. Ying’s presence grows more prominent in his life, and despite his better judgment, Jiang finds himself drawn deeper into the vampire’s mysterious world. But with that comes danger—because once you're on a vampire's radar, escaping is no easy feat.
With his life taking a darker, more dangerous turn, Jiang must decide whether to flee or stay. Is his vampire roommate a threat or an unlikely protector? One thing is clear: nothing will ever be the same again.
